My girlfriend and I went on a road trip for my birthday two years ago and we went to Vegas, Utah, and Arizona. We stopped at Sedona, Arizona when she gifted me these old school looking Reeboks, and I usually don’t buy Reeboks but this was a must buy. This sneaker is so under rated because this is a Reebok x Bait x Ghostbusters x Stranger Things collaboration which most people didn’t get, and this was during the Stranger Things hype back then. It’s Funny how Nike ended up later doing a whole sneaker and apparel collection for the third season, but deep down I think these Reeboks are better.
I remembered this day by the picture, I used to live in DTLA and I decided to chill by the pool with my Nike Flyknit Racers, because they’re comfortable and colorful compared to my other sneakers. I sometimes miss the lofts in downtown and the bars on Spring Street, but I do not miss the loud sirens and crazy people screaming and the smell of DTLA.
It’s a funny story on how I got to the UnionLA x Jordan pop up sneaker release, I remember after work on the last day of the sneaker raffle at UnionLA on La Brea me and a friend went and signed up. Two days later we got an email we got the sneaker and we were so hyped because we knew as a reseller point of view this sneaker was a $1000 plus sneaker in the resell market. A few days later after the email they gave a secured location in LA with time slots to pick up these sneakers. I thought it was gonna be a small wait but when I got there I had to wait three hours and once I got out there a mob of people offering to buy my sneakers for less of what it was valued. The next day after posting it on Offerup for $1000, I had to negotiate but got $900 for this Jordan 1 sneaker, I remember being so happy and sad because I really liked the sneaker and how nice and unique it was from other sneakers I’ve seen, but at the same time $900 is $900 after I spent $190.
My wonderful girlfriend gifted me these sneakers for my birthday three years ago, and this is one sneaker I got super hyped for. This Nike shoe was first released back in the 90’s and set up trend by it’s comfort, colors, and silhouette of the sneaker. I remember looking at a old 90’s Queen Latifah poster online, and saw the silhouette of this sneaker, I said I had to have these in my collection.
I saw these sneakers from a friend who’s a big fan for the Jordan 1 sneakers, and he asked for my help to get him these. But I could’ve got him the sneaker for retail and sold it a little over resale market price, but when I saw these I told him which mall I was at, and the same day he took a Uber and bought his shoes, and bought me lunch for giving him this sneaker.
When I went to the mall a year ago and came across these crazy chunky looking sneaker. I’m the type of sneaker head that like whatever I like, not like some people who follow trends and hype. I saw these at the mall and I was like I can definitely see myself wearing these with a pair of windbreaker pants 90’s style.
When I went to the mall about a year ago when I came across these under rated sneaker, people didn’t like this or got too much attention. In my eyes I really like the bucks color way way on this sneaker and a fan of Ray Allen, there’s a lot of limited edition team player and sample sneakers made for Ray Allen that goes for thousands. I wouldn’t spend thousands on a sneaker. But I would get this one for retail or on sale.
When I went to the mall that same day when I saw that Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Semi Frozen Yellow” I got to see this sneaker grail at the Foot Locker store. I actually love this sneaker because it brings me back to when my sister and I had a matching pair back in 2001, it was nice to see the Jordan team bring back this grail.
I went to the mall today and went to a Foot Locker and found this 2017 Adidas x Yeezy 350 Boost sneaker. This is a Kanye West sneaker which was such a limited edition sneaker to obtaining is now sitting on shelves in retail stores.
